Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager and may have to wait for an appropriate time in the performance to be seated.

One unique aspect of this show is the use of audience participation during the competition. Before each performance four audience members are picked and four willing contestants are then cast as on-stage guest spellers who are pitted against the six main characters. This creates risky and sometimes funny situations. It certainly poses the opportunity for a very different experience at each performance depending on who is picked from the audience.

    THE SAMAHA VOCAL ENSEMBLE and ORCHESTRA is a not-for-profit organization, celebrating their 40 year performing for the Bay Ridge, Brooklyn community. It is produced and conducted by JEFF SAMAHA, a television network stage manager/director. Show directors are JEFF SAMAHA AND KATHY VALENTINE. The producers are KATHY VALENTINE, KAREN TADROSS and JEFF SAMAHA The co-musical director and concert pianist is ANNE REBOLD. In March of 2003 the ensemble and orchestra performed E.L Doctorow's "RAGTIME" at the Richard Perry Theater on the grounds of Poly Prep Country Day School. In March and April of 2006, the Ensemble brought to Brooklyn and the Bay Ridge Community for the first time, Broadway's MISS SAIGON, and in March of this year they performed WEST SIDE STORY to four out of five sold out audiences. The groups nine member cast and seven piece band are in their third year of performing SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE in the parks of Brooklyn. Performances took place at Shore Road Park, Marine Park,Asser Levy (Seaside)Park in Coney Island and Bay Ridge's 3rd Avenue Festival.
